چکیده

The two–dimensional (2D) t–t’–Hubbard model is studied within the slave–boson (SB) theory. At half–filling, a paramagnetic to antiferromagnetic phase transition of first order at a finite critical interaction strength Uc(t /t) is found. The dependences on U/t and t/t of the sublattice magnetization and of the local magnetic moment are calculated. Our results reasonably agree with recent (Projector) Quantum Monte Carlo data. The SB ground–state phase diagram reveals a t–induced electron–hole asymmetry, and, depending on the ratio t/t, the antiferromagnetic or ferromagnetic phases are stable down to U = 0 at a critical hole doping.

Making use of symmetry properties and known exact results for the Hubbard Model on bipartite lattice, we show that (1) there is no phase separation for repulsive coupling at low dopings, (2) phase separation and superconductivity co-exist in the ground states for attractive coupling in a range of filling fractions.

We introduce the phase model on a lattice and solve it using the algebraic Bethe ansatz. Time-dependent temperature correlation functions of phase operators and the " darkness formation probability " are calculated in the thermodynamical limit. These results can be used to construct integrable equations for the correlation functions and to calculate their asymptotics.

In this letter we study the ground-state phase diagram of the one-dimensional Falicov-Kimball model. This model was proposed to describe metal-insulator transitions [ 1] and has since been investigated in connection with a variety of problems such as binary alloys [ 2], ordering in mixed-valence systems [ 3], and the formation of ionic crystals [ 4]. It is the latter language we shall use here,...
